Togo (officially the Togolese Republic) is a country in West Africa, bordered by Ghana to the west, Benin to the east and Burkina Faso to the north. It is one of the least developed countries in the world. Population almost 8,000,000.
Only a few years ago it was illegal to plant Churches of Christ in Togo, but the Lord opened a door for the church to be legally recognized. As a result, congregations are being planted continuously and hundreds are being baptized! The official language of Togo is French.
The White Rock Fund will provide grants for full support for 20 preachers in Togo in 2026. These brothers are full-time in ministry and do not have secular jobs. Churches of Christ are growing numerically on a daily basis.
The elders of the Wilshire Church of Christ in Oklahoma City oversee African Missions which focuses on building up the kingdom of God in Togo. African Missions provides support for several preachers in addition to the 20 preachers receiving support from The White Rock Fund. There are at least three preacher training schools in the nation.
